J. T. Roberts was born and raised in southern Illinois, less than an hour’s drive from the Gateway to the West, home of the finest organization in professional baseball.  He received a bachelor of science degree from Murray State University in 2003, and completed a master of business administration in 2012.

Roberts decided he wanted to be a serious writer as a college sophomore.  He has been published in numerous newspapers and magazine journals, and written a collection of short stories.  The Brown Bottle Squeeze is his first published novel.

When not working, traveling, or relishing the night, Roberts enjoys lounging on his couch and enjoying the best HBO or the sporting world has to offer.  He lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he has worked for the last eleven years.
